	Shagbags is an original collection of handbags by International award winning designer, Jodi Jaffe. Each bag is a true “one of a kind”. They are original and unique vintage bags dating from the 1940’s to the 1970’s. I personally hand-embellishes each Shagbag with antique brooches, mink, feathers, beads and trims. Swarovski crystals and beads are often added to create fun and colorful handles.
“The collection was created when I was attended a black tie event and carried a simple but beautiful silk antique purse from France. Admiring true vintage and being cursed with the ever-spinning mind of an artist, I simply added some mink from an old stole, added a bit of sparkle with an antique brooch and was complimented all night long! Within days I started Shagbags” Finding unique bags in good condition is definitely a challenge but great fun. I have bags from all over the world; New York, Paris, Italy, China and Phoenix. Just as well all do, some Shagbags have minor flaws due to the age of many of the bags. I am extremely critical in my inspection but sometimes can’t resist a fabulous find even if there is a slight imperfection. Since every Shagbag is a “one of a kind” creation, they make wonderful collectables. Perfect with that little black dress for a special night out or wear a Shagbag with your favorite pair of jeans while sharing martinis with the girls. With true elegance, these sassy bags make a statement and are definitely handbags with attitude!
